Even with some of them singing a little bit off, I still thought the performance was great. I thought I saw Duncan in the back round, but at first I wasn't sure if it was him.

Thank God for the site that can't be mentioned.

I actually can't find it there.

Definitely not Wright, I recorded it, listened 3 times and who ever was off, was off during Wright's " Looks so nasty in those kakis and Bobby Mayler is the Best" He was not singing any back ground vocals during that. So it must have been someone else. But hey, I would probably be off a bit too if I was singing for 20 million people.

The MTV special? Is there going to be another one?

Jonathan Groff had a really intense look in his eyes tonight!

In general, I thought the song (the singing) felt much angrier than usual (bordering on shouting at times). I wonder if that was just nerves or direction.

It didn't record on my TV. Was it delayed or something? It cuts off right before the performance.

And I can't find it on the site.

Brunette, I thought I saw him, too, but I wasn't sure. They were panning across and I thought to myself: "Methinks I see a Duncan Sheik!" However...there could be many a bearded guitarist out there.

popular_elphie: Letterman always goes from 11:35 to like 12:35. So if you programmed to stop at 12:30, you missed the last 5 minutes...which included SA.

Um Wright sounded really really odd during Bobby Mayler/Nasty Kakis part. It was DEF off or something. So I wasnt even listening to the background vocals at that point. And that was not the only time they sounded off. It was a total combination of Wright and Glick.

It sounded like Johnathan Wright was shouting his nasty khakis line. Then definitely looked nervous. What Letterman said about special matinée performances was funny.

I love this show but this was not a great performance. It's no fun to hear THE BITCH OF LIVING live anymore because the video/cd versions are SO much better. I think this is mostly due to the intense choreography/jumping around and some of those boys just can't hold their part. I think TOUCH ME will be much better for these kind of press events. I'll be watching THE VIEW today for sure!

Ok just watched it again. One of the off parts was def when WRIGHT was on the floor singing the harmonies during "Oh, who knows" right before Gideon's first solo. And is nasty kahkis thing...he was just pushing to hard or something. But as I said before, Gideon has been off a lot live at the Theatre.

My thoughts exactly... I watched it on a whim, I didn't even know they were on, but when Dave said it I knew I had to watch.

My first impression was that they were nervous, and I pu myself in their shoes and, hell, its Letterman! But yeah, Wright was DEFINITELY off, as was Glick, IMO. It sounded really weird the whole time... i'm not used to hearing the background so loud over Melchior's part... but yeah, someone was off.

And was it just me, or was John Gallagher's hair INSANE last night? I know its usually like that, but it seemed super strange.

Filming for TV is pretty nerve wrecking considering none of these guys have done it before.

Also, this was filmed aroun 7:40 last night. The guys came right from there to the theatre and then did the show. They were probably worried they wouldn't make it back. I saw them get out of a car and run into the theatre (I was waiting to get, saw it last night)

Yeah...they were all defifintely nervous last night, with the exception of maybe Jon Groff and Skylar. During the commercial segment right before they went on they were pretty much all squirming in there seats!

"Jonathan Groff had a really intense look in his eyes tonight!"
Oh my...yes! and I was afraid that Gallagher was going to start laughing!

"I thought I saw Duncan in the back round, but at first I wasn't sure if it was him."
Someone said this already, but yes he was there and they did say something about it during the show. I was really surprised though that they didn't film him, even once! Would have liked to have heard him say something too. We saw him walking down Broadway around 3:00, but away from the theater...

Oh...and just as a correction...the show was all finished filming by 6:35. We wound up walking behind some of the band members from SA on their way back to the theatre, and when I passed the Eugene O'Neil Gerard was just getting to stage door, around 7. Not that I don't think it wasn't tight for the guys, but at least it was more than a half hour.

Yeah, it could have been Gideon, because when I saw it a few weeks ago, he was off key and going too fast for the music, which was odd because he was great the previous two times.

They didn't seem nervous, some of them just sounded a little off at times. I saw the show last night and they had a load of energy plus the audience was pumped. They got 3 standing ovations! It was awesome. Plus Rosie and Steven Sater were there.

on letterman, the intonation is fine...until skylar comes in sharp. and then wright's sharp, throwing off gideon and the harmonies a bit. the highest harmony that is in falsetto is always flat.

but overall, it was a lot better than i remembered.

I'm not seeing The View performance on *that site*. I've tried a bunch of different searches. Can I ask what words to use?
