I'm sitting on stage this week.

Is it really THAT bad? I mean...can you make out no words at all?

Sweetie, go back and read the thread. Did anyone say anything resembling what you just asked?

When I did it, I was so far to the side that I might as well have been in the dressing room, I missed about 60% of the lyrics because my seat was level with the onstage band, and I basically looked at the hips and asses of the actors all night.

... but like someone else pointed out (sorry i forgot who it was) but the music does drown out the lyrics and when i went home to listen to the Cast Recording, i was like "ohh thats what they said"

..I am also glad that I had the cd so I knew what they were singing cause it was hard to hear over the band...

Sounds pretty damn close to me, hun. That's what I was wondering. If I was really going to miss out on a lot of the lyrics. Because from what people said...you miss a pretty big chunk of them.

I think it depends whether you are nearer the front or the rear of the stage. If you are on Stage left near Trey and his drums, you might miss a lot of the vocals. Stage right toward the front is probably better.

i was closer to the band, than the audience and it was fine...at points, i couldn't quite make out what they were singing, but it was totally fine....honestly, i already didn't love the show and the onstage seating made me like it alittle more.

Okay, I get my rights and lefts mixed up. So is the band by the even seats or the odd seats?

I have tickets to AA 8 and 10. Is this good?

everyone should just go and see for themselves. its up to you if you think the seats are bad or not. i believe every seat in the theatre is amazing.

Geekgirl, the band is on the even side. My friends and I saw it last weekend in BB2 - BB6, and it was awesome. I'd seen it before from the orchestra and my friends had never seen it, so I had to explain what was going on in And Then There Were None a little bit because the lyrics were hard to hear, but they got the rest of the show just fine. I definitely liked it better from the stage.

And anyone who is worried about the audience staring at you on the stage, most of my focus when I was in the orchestra was on the center of the stage, not the sides. BB2 is closest right stage seat to the audience, and it turned out my friend sitting there bumped into a couple people after the show he knew who were sitting in the orchestra that night, and they didn't see or notice him up there at all. They were surprised when we said we were in the stage seats. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. We waited at the stage door after the show, and while the cast was so nice!, they didn't notice we were in the stage seats either, ha ha, so you really won't be sitting in anyone's focal point. So the only concern you may have is that the wood chairs are kind of hard to sit in for 2 and a half hours!

"I thought that that was just going to be a like one shot deal for me, you know, but they kept talking about it like, 'when we do the production, when we do the production', and I was like, 'yes, yes, when you do the production, cool, I will come and see it'". - John Gallagher Jr. on SA

Bump.

Where is the chart that shows which actor sits in each seat or where a cast member sits? Thanks.

EDIT: Never mind, found it.

Except that now Alexandra is no longer BB16, as she now plays Wendla. And Matt Doyle is Hanshen, and thus the ensemble members have changed...
