Also everyone please never use the phrase "traditional rape" again. I get that you understand what you mean but there's no such thing and it contributes to our culture's very very messed up understanding of what rape is and all the subsequent problems that causes.

@LuminousBeing Oh, I agree that it's more interesting to explore this more subtle territory (and I've been enjoying the conversation we've been having here... to the point that it really makes me want to revisit the show) but I worry that the point might be lost in the subtlety. Part of me wonders how the younger audiences that this show is meant to appeal to are interpreting the scene/relationship.
