I've stage doored twice for a tour thats currently in my city right now. Not many people are usually there (the most I've had were 5 including me). Both times the cast were just lovely, and they've even grown to recognise me a bit. The second time was mainly because I missed one of the actors I really wanted to meet. So, heres the thing -- one of my friends is going to see the show and she really wants to stage door but hasn't done it before, so she asked if I could follow her. (edited a part out here) . Is third time a bit too excessive? I'm really just thinking of going for the third time just to accompany my friend.:/

In case of what?

I do it just so they know to expect someone, because sometimes theres no one at stage door. They've been really gracious about it actually (:
There's no need to tell them ahead of time. I mean, you're not a celebrity and they'll see you when they see you.

I personally wouldn't, but I know there are some people who have "stage doored" the same show or the same actor multiple times, even though they've already met them. Up to you.
If no one's hardly ever there, just wait with your friend and when the cast comes out, let her approach them and you hang back... seems easy enough.
