The Avenue Q cast would sign something for you if you approached them on the sidewalk. I think they would after a mat., but night shows are usually better for those sort of things.
I couldn't say about the others though.

Some come out after a matinee...I know I would not want to be at the theatre 24/7, unless I just wanted to rest in my dressing room.

I know night is better, but we have another show to catch tehn! But thanks!

You might have to wait extra long after a first preview - the cast may meet to talk to the director afterwards.

who are the performers who are nicest about signing things, and getting pictures with after a show? i'm sure some are probably accomodating, while others are not. what stage door experiences has anyone had?

Donna Murphy was exteremly gracious after wonderful town (night performance). She signed my playbill, we had a nice chat, and I got a great pic.

It is HIGHLY unlikely that you will see Lane after the first preview of the Frogs...notes will probably take awhile and there are a lot of things going on after a first preview performance.

Additionally, he isn't a real 'stage door' person. He will come out when he can and when he feels up to it, but is very shy and doesn't like meeting the public very often. IF you are lucky enough to see him, don't get in his face and gush or you are likely to get your nose bitten off!

the avenuw q people are almost guaranteed to come out and i must say are some of the most gracious people i have ever met. The other day i ran into John Tartaglia and Jennifer Barnhart on the street and they ended up signing a poster from another show for me

Oh it's a miswrite- After the Fall is the first preview, Frogs is the fourth. There still might be notes and such, etc. Thank you all!

Oh, silly me! When ya write things online, you htink people know what you mean and I've been totally unclear. I meant the fourth preview of Frogs, not July 4th.

Gotcha. Well, on a Friday you have a toss up between early preview and notes and it being a friday where everyone wants to go out and eat, drink and be merry after a tough week of rehearsals and openings.

Good luck

Kattan is hit or miss, depending on his mood. I've seen him walk by everyone and not stop at all, and then I've seen him be really friendly and take pics and hug everyone!
