I was over at my friend's house and saw that she had a Stagebill of "Cabaret" and I asked her where she had seen it and she said Broadway. I also saw "Cabaret" on Broadway, but it was your usual Playbill program. Is there any reason why shows decide to change their program type?!
The older ones for Cabaret were "Stagebills." I think it's just a difference in who prints them.
If I remember correctly "Stagebill" was a completely different company and the publishers of "Playbill" bought them out. (I'm ashamed that I don't remember it a little more clearly because it wasn't all that long ago.)

Yeah, I saw 42nd Street a few years ago, and I think I had a Showbill. I think that's what it said, definitely didn't say Playbill though. I was always king of curious about that.
i hate other programs besides playbill..its my favorite

I think so, Girlfriend.
THE LION KING and the Metropolitan Opera both used Stagebill, but Mamie is right that Playbill bought them out.
