I know during A Moon For The Misbegotten Kevin Spacey would ONLY sign playbills or window cards of that show. If there are security people out around the barricades you can politely ask them ~ or if it's a big name, they'll probably say if the person is only signing show-related stuff.

Thanks - yeah I would only bring show related stuff. Will they only sign one item or can you bring two things?

Again, it depends on the actor and their policy. Probably also the crowd outside. I know that several people have become wary of multiple signings because of the prevalence of eBay. But you can always ask for it to be personalized...that makes it a lot less likely you're going to turn around and sell it.
Who are you talking about and people might have more specific answers.

Posted: 9/23/08 at 12:50pmDepends on the actor and the crowd. If you're getting something for a friend and you say "This is for my friend who lives in Kansas" they're usually fine about doing that. But if they think you're an eBay seller they'll cut you off.

And then there's someone like Patti LuPone. When I saw GYPSY, I was using the glossy picture book as a "table" to hold my PLAYBILL steady for her to sign and she slid my PLAYBILL up and signed the cover of the program too... I didn't ask or anything and I certainly wasn't expecting it
