Posted: 7/10/04 at 12:09pmOff stage cover or understudies have to be present for all 8 shows but are allowed to leave for the evening once the person they are covering has made their final entrance. Or at least, that's how it works in London.

Posted: 7/10/04 at 2:11pmThey generally leave after the final entrance or one of the last songs that way if something were to happen, the lead actor could probably handle it without it being noticeable.
