Standing Room ?? On 700 Sundays

I'll be in NYC the week after next and really want to see this even if I have to stand. Can you get tickets in advance or is it day of show ?
Also wondering if people still dress up for the theater.

The SRO tickets for 700 Sundays are available in advance and I strongly recommend you go to the box office the instant you arrive in NYC to book them. I went in on the Tuesday morning and managed to get the very last SRO ticket for the Wednesday night, the matinee was already gone. And the nearer it gets to the end of his run, the more bonkers it will be.

Am I correct in assuming that standing room tickets are only available at the box office?

I called telecharge yesterday and they said that you could only get standing room in advance for this at the box office
