I was wondering why they only do standing room when the show is sold out. Most people who are looking to pay standing room tickets cannot afford to pay for a full price ticket, so it's not like they would take the seats that are still available. And even if they don't sell those tickets, by turning away standing room requests they're turning down a profit. Sorry if the answer is obvious and I'm just missing it, but could someone explain the logic to me? Thanks!

I don't know the logic, but that's the way it always is. Why don't they sell all unsold tickets for $5? Because they don't have to.
Probably so people don't buy standing room with the intention of sitting down in a $250 seat at intermission (or within 15 minutes, YMMV).

Damn, those were good seats. heh.
