Has anyone seen this show? I just read Isherwood's review, and it certainly sounds interesting, but I was wondering if anyone else who's actually seen it has any input.
NY Times review
I've seen it. Some of the plays are better than others, which is pretty much a given in a show like this, but overall, it was a very enjoyable night. The actors are great, Harriet Harris and Richard Thomas in particular (though I think they also have the best material to work with). One play has been cut since the first preview, which I think was for the better (no offense to that playwright - it just didn't fit the tone of the rest). If you're curious, I'd see it. I think Isherwood's review was pretty dead-on, and I almost never agree with him.
Which play was cut?
As of yesterday afternoon, "This Marriage was Saved" by Joe Keenan (the Ted Haggard parody).
Thanks. That was one of the weaker pieces so not surprised or sorry to see it go.
