How long do stars usually arrive at the theater before half-hour? do they usually have to be there earlier to have extra rehearsal or anything?
Just curious.

Obviously it depends on the performer and the show, but most will show up an hour to 45 minutes before showtime. Generally they dont have rehersals once the show opens unless its a specific reason like new cast members.

Why is it such little time before? When i do a community theatre prod. the call is usually an hour to an hour and a half before curtain.

At PIANO LESSON, Charles Dutton often showed up at about 7:57, grunting and pushing his way past you, while his poor understudy was dressed and ready to go on. And I mean...often. I was there.

So funny that someone asked this question- I was just about to post the same question

"I want to tell you that Elvis would be proud." I said: "Priscilla, if I get 100 bad reviews, it won't matter because of what you said."
