Can we just discuss these two songs? Or anything from Songs For a New World for that matter? I just seem to become especially attached to anything that Jessica Molaskey sings.

I have been listening to them nonstop!

I believe Jessica Molaskey has a cd coming out soon. I'm a big fan of hers and of SFANW. (She's very good in her small role in Parade also)

I really like Stars and the Moon. I think its a beautiful song, and a little heartbreaking. In any case it is a song I would love to have in my repertoire one day.

ew I can't stand Surabaya, although it is a nice knock at Kurt Weill.
I love Stars and the Moon.
I am addicted to Andrea Burns's voice though- I'd Give It All for You, Christmas Lullaby.....they're so beautiful.
She's got such a bell-like voice.

Jessica Molaskey is just able to ACT her songs really well, even though she doesn't have, IMO, the greatest voice. It's a shame that her song in Parade is the ONE song on there that I don't really care for, 'cause I always skip it and never hear the life she brings to her character.

I'm not real fond of either of these two songs...but I do LOVE Christmas Lullabye and Flagmaker 1776. I think Taylor, Burns, Ashmanskas, and Molaskey make for the best 4-some I've heard in a long long time.

"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

Jessica Molaskey has two CDs out at the moment - we just saw them this weekend at Tower Records on Broadway. I've seen her in a couple shows now and she's a good actress. I saw her in Dream on Broadway and in Dream True off Broadway...and of course she's in that E-bay commercial they show all the time now.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I"m listening to one of Jessica's CD's right now. It is a CD of depression-era songs. And, it is amazing. If you like that era of music, go buy it...it's as good as thet come.
