I dont know when it is this year, but I have hone in the past. I used to enjoy it more when the theater crowd attended, these days it is promoted a bit more & everyone arrives with their extended family.....if you want to get a good view it seems you have to camp out early
I'm not bitter
lol
Its still fun

Stars in the Alley is typically the Wednesday before the Tonys. I've gone the past four years and have always enjoyed it. Last year it was rainy, but I went anyway... got there around 11am I believe and was able to get a spot right against the side barricades next to the stage. We were by the Shubert Stage Door.
It's a lot of fun... the first year I went I wound up on the 6pm news and interviewed for a radio show. My best friend called me frantically from home when I was on my way back screaming -- never thought the segment I was featured in would actually make it on TV!

I'm ashamed for not knowing, but what is Stars in the Alley?

Stars in the Alley is an outdoor concert (a little comparative to Broadway on Broadway, but not quite) in Shubert Alley, hilighting musical numbers from that season.
Awards are presented for some things, and there are Broadway speakers/presenters/introducers. And scholarship checks are given to two young people to go towards their college education.
