Ok this may sound like a dumb question, but I am interested in seeing Spamalot and the start date is 2/14 while the opening date is 3/17- what is the difference. Should I wait to see the play after it opens?

Previews first, (2/14) then the official opening (3/17).

If you go before it officially opens (when it is in previews) you will most likely not see the finished product. Everyday they change and add things to the show until right before it officially opens. So, if you want to see the final product, wait until it opens to see it.
