yesterday i saw Steel Magnolias. I am a slow person when it comes to jokes but I didn't understand most of them. That is just me and my slow brain though. I personally didn't like the show very much but the audience there was laughing a lot. The acting was amazing! This show was very well done. I just learned who Delta Burke was too. Not my generation of famous people.
Delta Burke (Truvy) wow she can act so well! Very amazing. I liked how she did her jokes and expressions.
Christine Ebersole (M'Lynn) nothing special but again the whole cast has amazing acting skills. Her acting in teh second act was better than the first.
Rebecca Gayheart (Shelby) again nothing amazing but its her broadway debut and since it was i would say it was very good.
Marsha Mason (Ouiser) very awesome character! i loved her take on Ouiser. She was very good in the second act. Great performance.
Lily Rabe (Annelle) for her broadway debut it was very good. She has a very unique voice too. Nothing amazing but she was good.
Frances Sternhagen (Clairee) i love the character! Her acting is very good and overall it was good.
*I think the acting was better than the show itself but my true highlight of yesterday was meeting someone who used to work for wicked (she had a jacket on it was personalized and everything. I want one!) I said like a sentence before she got off the elevator in the parking garage. Parking garages are awesome and my mom thought she saw Idina and Taye in a parkign garage one time but of course she wasnt sure. I had my camp reunion that day so i couldn't see if it was.
I know the review isnt great but its what i could do since i didnt enjoy it much.
I'm so mad at my sister! She is seeing Wicked without me on Saturday. Lucky her!
