Attention musical theatre fans!
There's a great cabaret revue of Stephen Schwartz music playing in Chicago next Monday, covering his whole career (Godspell to Wicked and then some!) and includes some history and anecdotes besides.
The show features three veterans of Chicago musical theater: Charissa Armon (Tomorrow Morning, Jeff-nominee for Porchlight's Ragtime), Ryan Lanning (Porchlight's Candide, Jeff-winner for Bailiwick's Kiss of the Spider Woman) and Courtney Freed (Theo Ubique's Man of La Mancha).
Monday, June 14 at 8 PM is the last performance. Davenport's Piano Bar & Cabaret is located at 1383 N. Milwaukee in Chicago. Reservations can be made at www.davenportspianobar.com
Bonus: Audience members can win a copy of Carol de Giere's fantastic book, "Defying Gravity: The Creative Career of Stephen Schwartz!"
