You would probably commit me if you knew how much money I'm spending to see the (I think I'm quoting you) "awful, awful casting" of the Peters/Stritch NIGHT MUSIC :P .

Geraldine Turner had a hilarious performance of "The Ladies Who Lunch", and the abridged FOLLIES overture was nice (if a tiny bit sloppy at times)...but the sound was the worst I've ever experienced, and a lot of the performances just pedestrian.

It was for a good cause though, right? (I mean, I feel guilty even saying this)

Welcome to the HATS OFF team. I've been to three, and each one got worse. The sound is ALWAYS an issue. In their Kander & Ebb tribute of 2007, a duet was sung where one poor guy's mic didn't work for the ENTIRE song. Their intentions are good, but the execution leaves much to be desired.
