Stevie's on the South Bank Show tonight...look's like it'll be a new interview with Melvyn, framing longish extracts from older programmes...including I guess the Sweeney one, Company (was that the SBS?) and others.

I think Company was the BBC but there was a Sondheim-training-students-to-interpret-his-songs episode about 3 years after the London-Sweeney episode.

I meant the making of the Compny lp documentary by D A Pennebaker (I had to look it up!), who did the Dylan Don't Look Now doc of his 65 UK tour.

I've never seen it, the dvd's not been available for a while and I think it was shown on the SBS.

..and the BBC Company from the Donmar has never been on DVD as far as I know (although front row at the Donmar when Adrian was in his pants was v memorable!)

It's great how they have such an archive (although obviously not going forward)..the McKellan one the other week was excellent.

excellent programme.....mind you i wanted him to talk about all the other shows..so a five hour programme would have been fine!
The clip of ALNM was interesting....Zeta Jones seemed to be channeling Dame Judi.
Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks
