Stritch and the motherf**ker

Forgive me if this has been discussed previously in other threads... How many people have noticed that Elaine Stritch is narrating the video ad for THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT? Unless it's all about getting the queens to that one, I don't get it. Lady Stritch and the motherf***cker seems a bit incongruous to me. Yeah, yeah, I know she has a history with substance abuse and a very dry humor, etc., but it still plays to me like a shotgun wedding.
