My son, a student, is hoping to get discounted tickets for tomorrow's Les Miserables show. He is just worried that if he waits 2 hrs before the show starts for the student rush tickets instead of that discounted booth at 47 St., that there might not be any student tickets available, and then he will be stuck with no tickets. Any advice? Also, does anyone know where Les Miserables' student rush tickets are typically located? Thanks!!
I thought they had seats set aside for student rush. If he's there by 5 he should be fine for getting a ticket. If he's that nervous, 4:30. Though honestly if it's on tkts, he'll probably have a better seat from them. The student rush is at the very back and sides of the theatre.

jordangirl, that's what I was afraid of-that the student rush tickets might not be as good. However, I read other reports on the net that for some shows the student rush tickets have been as good as front row. So, I was beginning to think these could be prime seats.
Do either of you know when the TKTS booth opens? thanks again!!
From what they (the box office people) were saying the other day when I went, all the student rush is in the back or partial view.
TKTS opens in Times Square at 3. At South Street Seaport at 11.

Jordangirl, thanks again for your response! Do you know if South Stree Seaport is typically any better than TKTS?
Not a problem calig! :) Happy to help where I can.
There's a tkts at South Street Seaport. They've got the two sites for the tickets. One at Times Square and one at South Street. I don't know if one's better than the other, other than the Seaport one opening earlier. I've never used that one, but it's the same basic creature.
