I'm planing a trip with my friend to come to NYC next week and I've just spent the last few hours searching, calling, and making a composite document with some Student Rush, Lottery, and SRO policies. The playbill.com article was a bit out of date and left out some shows that we wanted to see. I have about 15 shows on my list. I got all my info from the show websites and box offices. If anyone is going to the city soon and wants a copy, just PM me. I don't want all my hard work to go to waste.
Going to a musical late in its run is like going to a prostitute late in her shift.
While we're on the topic, since when does Chicago not have rush?
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
Chicago still has a general rush. I went to the theater this morning and asked when I saw it wasn't up on the websites. 22 seats are sold when the box office opens for each performance.
FYI, Talkin' Broadway hasn't updated Company's policy; it still says there's no rush for Friday - Sunday shows, but there is now for every performance.
i'd suggest using talkinbroadway's list as a guideline but then double check the information for the shows you're wanting to see. while most of the information is accurate, it's not always updated right when policies are changed
