I have just seen the film - which I loved - and I don't know whether I should buy the Broadway cast recording or not? They are 2 or 3 recordings I guess...
So?
Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."

Lupone's is the best sung. Close's is more complete.

That is a tough one, I have the Canadian recording, because I think that Rex Smith has such a terrific voice.

When we went to TO to see it, everyone hated that show but me. Dianne Carrol was terrfic, and the music was great. What is wrong with me

I love me some Patti, but Glenn's characterization is more accurate, and the recording more complete. Actually, is IS complete.

I like the Broadway recording best, but it's fascinating to hear the changes from the London one!
