Isn't Cathy Rigby 376 years old now? And isn't Molly 16 at the beginning of the show?

All the botox in the world won't let me suspend THAT much disbelief...

I've never recovered from Debbie Reynolds doing her 20-minute medley to close her nightclub act 30-some years ago. It included some business from the movie about wearing a bucket for a crown.

But it was rather more like your grandmother got drunk at a party and performed with a lampshade on her head.

(Nice work as usual, henrikegerman! If I'd only known I had this thread ahead of me, it would have been easier to take the nightclub act.)

Better than a lot of the crap they're doing now.

I've never seen the musical, but I have to admit I really enjoyed the movie. I can definitely see Sutton Foster in the lead role too.

It wasn't the best musical I've seen by a long way, but it had a few good dance numbers and I really enjoyed the score and Debbie Reynolds' performance.

I don't think that the show would give Foster much chance to shine vocally, so if this happens I expect they'll rework a few numbers and add in a song or two. I just can't see it on Broadway though. A limited engagement somewhere out of town yes, but a full Broadway revival? I just don't see it.
