Does Sweeney intend on letting Johanna and Anthony run off together? I saw the DVD a LONG time ago, and I remember finding that part vaugue.

I don't think he cares what happens to them, just as long as he can use them to lure the Beadle to his tonsorial parlor to wreak his vengeance. I suppose it would be up to the interpretation of the Sweeney if he shows any fatherly tenderness toward Johanna or if he's too far off his nut to care at that point.

The Beadle? I think you mean the Judge.
It always seemed to me that he was using Anthony to get Johanna back to him. I'm not sure what he planned to do once he got Johanna back and killed the Judge, though. Maybe kill Anthony, except Johanna wouldn't have like that. Or, since the Judge was dead, Johanna and Anthony wouldn't have to run off.
