its so hard to define - there's a song called "Here I am" but I can't remember what show it's from - but its very vunlerable. Actually you can put that slant on just about anything you sing.
I'm blanking here this morning so probably won't be much help - I'm thinking "Night Song" from Golden Boy, or even something like "Somewhere" from West side story - something simple and sweet and straightforward. Wish I could think but I'm running on empty at the moment...
