Hey everybody! I'm the Student Director of my high school's musical, and for our cast show, we are planning to see Sweeney. I have seen the show twice already. From what I hear from people's posts, the understudies aren't going on much, if at all.
We are going either the last Wed in March or possibly the first Wednesday in April. (We have specified lots through a company associated with MTI). Does anyone know if there are any vacation plans for Patti, Mike, or Mano? Also, has the regular cast started taking matinees off yet?

I doubt it. The matinee performances are just as important as the night performances and I would hope most performers realize that.

Posted: 3/2/06 at 2:38pmI don't think there are vacation plans for the rest of them, either. I doubt you'll get an understudy. Benjamin Magnuson was out once and then pronounced it as a "once-in-a-lifetime thing".

she told me she was extending but has a commitment ot the Riviana Festival for three days in August.
My question via email:
Will you be extending past July?

My contract is up in July but I will be negotiating to extend.

Posted: 3/2/06 at 6:24pmIt's a VERY rare ocurrance for "Sweeney Todd" cast members to be absent. So far, the only ones who've missed a show have been Patti, Ben and Alex. So I'm fairly certain you'll get to see them all.
