Sweeney attendance

There was an erroneous posting stating that someone in the O'Neill had implied Michael was out for a performance. In fact, Michael has never taken a vacation, sick day or personal day for any performance of Sweeney. He and Mano are the only two cast members who have played every performance. I don't think they in any way begrudge their colleagues taking whatever time is necessary or due them, but they are (and should be) justifiably proud of their commitment, dedication and stamina.

Whatever 'ticket lady' caused the confusion was either mistaken or confused as to the question. With attendance of stars so much discussed here, it seemed worth making the actual facts clear.

Here's hoping they both continue to play every last show. They certainly seem to have every desire and will to.

This post is intriguing...

If legit, then thanks for clearing that up.

re: Sweeney attendance

Fishy, fishy.

The said erroneous post was the one where the poster said that the understudy board hadn't been changed, and s/he was crying, right? And then the woman at the box office said that it was delayed? That post, I believe, *originally* said that Merwin was listed as being in for Michael on the understudy board. I just checked it, though, and it's been updated and edited. Now it's the same story, but it's about Anthony.

re: Sweeney attendance

I saw the original post, too, and it definitely said Sweeney and Michael/Merwin...It's been edited to Anthony and Benjamin M/Benjamin E.

So...how does one confuse Sweeney with Anthony AND Michael with Benjamin in the same post? Like you said, em...fishy.

Oh, wait...

re: Sweeney attendance

that made me laugh : )

geez, the intention was to clear things up, not start a conspiracy thread. no good deed goes unpunished.....

someone just made a mistake and corrected it once it was clarified That's so much less interesting, but boringly, factually true.

the fish is funny, though.

re: Sweeney attendance

Well, people were questioning him/her when the post was about Michael and Sweeney, so I don't know why you think people are crying "conspiracy." Goes to say your information is correct, no?

As for my fish, I thought that the edited post, was, well, fishy... because that's QUITE a mix-up to make -- and I thought we could use some comic relief. Hence confused fishy. I'm glad you like him.

re: Sweeney attendance

I agree emcee: there's seldom a bad time for comic relief

and if it comes in the form of a fish, so much the better......

InnerSweeney is my new favorite fishy poster. And conspiracy theories are fun! Especially late at night...

So let's start guessing who InnerSweeney is...I know who I think it is... re: Sweeney attendance
