Alterego, I'm not a lover this show but I saw that Aussie production in 1996 at Sydney's Capitol Theatre and It nearly put me off theatre for life!

I'm not a lover of this show either but the idea of all the lovers being played by the same actor is a good idea. Particularly when it is Mark Umbers who brought depths to Nicky Arnstein I wouldn't have known were there, when I saw him in Funny Girl at Chichester last year.
