Sweet Charity replacement?

Posted: 12/12/05 at 10:16pmWhen is Christina Applegate's contract up with the show? I think I heard it was up at the end of this month, is that right? I don't necessarily want to see the show when I go to New York in January, but are there any talks of a replacement for her? Who would you like to see as Charity??? How about Sarah Jessica Parker?

Posted: 12/12/05 at 10:32pmChristina's contract is up on the 31st. If they find a replacement for her by the end of this week, she will extend into January to give the replacement time to rehearse. Otherwise, the show will close when she leaves.

What about Charlotte D.(sorry, can't spell her last name!)! Isn't she pretty popular as far as a crowd draw...maybe...? I heard she was great when she did it, but I guess Charity can't sell itself (as other shows like Wicked of The Producers can). I bet Brittany Spears would have sold the show, but I'm still glad that didn't happen.
What about Melanie Griffth? I know a lot of people on here don't want her back on broadway, but she could keep the show open.
