Both of these shows were complete delights.
I had low expectations for Sylvia and it was a very pleasant surprise. This was my first time ever seeing a play (opposed to a musical) on Broadway and I couldn't have asked for a better play to start with. Annaleigh Ashford was hilarious and so was Robert Sella in his many roles. We used TodayTix for our tickets and got fantastic seats, Row 3 center mezzanine for only 65! If you have a chance to go see this before the end of the week, GO!
On Your Feet was also a surprise, but in a different way. I was expecting fun, fun, fun the entire time, but the second act really hit me emotionally.
Spoiler....??
The scene where the Mom comes to visit in the hospital had me in tears. Andrea Burns was fantastic.
Spoiler End
I am not big Gloria Estefan fan. I think I knew only 2 or 3 songs going in to the show, but I still loved it. The energy from the ensemble and emotional punch in the second act made for a fantastic night at the theatre.

I really agree about On Your Feet, and I'm also a fan of Estefan's music. I saw it near the end of the Chicago run and I just loved it.
