When is Szot's last day?
And it's a pipe dream, but Nathan Gunn can pull DeBecque off, in my view. I think he and Szot are around the same age...

Posted: 5/19/09 at 12:00amSzot was supposed to perform as Escamillo in the Michigan Opera Theatre's production of Carmen from May 9-17 but he pulled out. I don't know why. But he is performing Carmen somewhere else, I would have really liked to see him this past weekend. Oh well, he is signed on to do Don Giovanni here next year so I will just have to wait.
