Ok so I searched and really couldn't find the exact information I was looking for. So I am thinking of becoming a member of TDF and I just had a few questions. What shows are typically up there? How much are tickets? Where are the seats usually located? (I know they say best available but where have you guys gotten seats) Can you get tickets on weekends or is that much harder? And for those of you that are members do you think it is worth it? I really wouldn't mind seeing 13, Phantom, LB, and [title of show].
Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS
All the shows you mentioned have been up over the past couple of days. During the Fall and other slow times for Broadway, there tends to be more good shows available.
Broadway shows are about $32-$36 and Off-Broadway are about $23-$27 (plus a few dollar handling fee for each ticket).
And seating I guess depends on availability. I have had seats at the back of the balcony but I have had some that are in the orchestra. And they often have weekends available.
If you are picky about seat locations, I wouldn't do it. But if you just want to see shows for cheap, I think it's worth it.

I think it's a great way to be able to see shows on a budget. Seat locations vary, as was already said.
In the last 6 months, I was able to get tickets for Beebo Brinker Chronicles (off-bway), Country Girl (previews), Top Girls (previews), Sunday in the Park w/ George, Cry-Baby, Xanadu, November, [title of show], East 14th (off-bway), Spring Awakening, and The Seagull. In the past, I was able to get tickets for Rent, The Grinch, Curtains, Die Mommie Die (off b-way), Altar Boyz (off-bway), and more that I can't recall.
I check the offernings frequently. I usually find more tickets availble for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday evening shows.
I don't think I ever got TERRIBLE seats and some have even been center orchestra. However, like the other poster said, if you are a seat snob, use a discount code and that way you get to pick your seat in advance. It will cost you about double for each ticket, though.
Hope this helps.
