TDF etix pick up Question.

So, I recently used TDF for the first time and from what I read on the TDF site etix are only available for pick up day of the show shortly before curtain. But i was reading on the other message board site and someone mentioned knowing where their seats were for the same show I bought my tickes for. So I was wondering, are etix really only availabe for pick up shortly before the curtain, or are they sometimes available before that?

I usually pick up my TDF ticket about an hour before showtime.

I've picked my TDF etix up a few hours prior to showtime, but always day of performance. Depends on the theatre and box office as to how early you can pick them up.

I picked up my Equus tickets a few hours prior, I went to New World to pick up tickets an hour prior and they said to come back in a half hour so it depends. Also not all TDF tickets are etix some are mailed to you which is how some people know where their seats are.

Yeah, i know they aren't all etix, but the show the person said they knew their seats for is and etix show. that's why i was confused.
