It depends. Sometimes they ask for ID, but not everyone/everywhere. I've personally never been asked. I know that theatres have been cracking down on it a bit more due to a high level of TDF members buying tickets for non-TDF eligible people. At my theatre, it really depends on who's doing it. One person is a stickler. I personally think it slows down the will-call process, which is already pretty tedious.
I've used someone else's account three times to get next to normal tickets and they have never asked me for any id. I always print out the ticket confirmation just in case. I also usually pick them up earlier in the day so in case they give me trouble I can get my friend to go back with me in the evening. I don't think next to normal will be a problem at all.
