Hey guys-
I know on the TDF website, it says that they never know where the seat locations are, BUT...
is there a place they GENERALLY put you? I paid $32 a piece for 5 tix to see a broadway show. I was just wondering, will we be in The LAST row of the mezzanine?
Any help would be GREAT!
Thanks.
there really IS no way to tell...I've gotten last row orchestra, middle orchestra on the side, center orchestra...pretty much everywhere.
It depends on the show and theater. I've sat all over the place. For Broadway shows the closest I got was about middle orchestra all the way off to the side and the furthest I've sat was front mezzanine. Off Broadway I got front row. It depends.
There really is no way to tell. When I went to see Seascape through TDF, the website said that the seats would be in the rear mezz. When I got to the theatre, the box office guy put me and my wife in center orchestra seats. It's a crapshoot, I guess.
It is a crapshoot. Generally, it is not to bad with a smaller or off broadway theater. You are really rolling the dice with a larger theater
We saw Jersey Boys & got the last row of the balcony ( or mezzanine ) & saw fine. Had that been the Gershwin, bring an oxygen tank
There is no alternative. If we had to pay full price we would see a fraction of what we see so we take our chances & are greatful to TDF

If the seats are FAR away (like at NYCO 4th ring) TDF normally says so on the listing. But TDF normally tries to give us the best tickets available. I find the luck of the draw part of the fun. There is nothing like ordering tickets and recieving awesome seats!
It is fun when you sit next to someone who paid full price & you paid a fraction of the full price.
sometimes if you ask them for better seats they'll give it to you. When we saw Movin' Out we got our seats and it was in the mezz and my mom was like 'aww dont u have anything better' and the guys was like hm.... okay.
