Six years after it's 7 performance run on Broadway, TV program Camera 3 made the odd decision to showcase the marvelous score with a presentation of these 7 numbers:

"Floozies"
"If There's Love Enough"
"Yellow Drum"
"Marry With Me"
"Chain Of Love"
"The Babylove Miracle Show"
"Reach Out"

Original cast members Carol Brice and Ruth Ford reprise their roles, with Leigh Beery, Shirley Lemmon and Kevin Sessums standing in for Barbara Cook, Karen Morrow and Russ Thacker. The composer plays the piano and the book writer narrates.

I love this score, but am I the only who is bothered by this lyric from "Floozies":

"In secret rooms
I tiptoe barefoot over naked bazooms"

?

Ouch. (For the women, not the boy.)

Yes "Floozies" is a bizarre anomaly in this gorgeous score.

My favorite (least favorite?) line is "I watch 'em Sundays hoochie coochin in their undies."

I believe the Camera 3 production included members of the York Theatre Company revival, yes?

Never got to see it but thoroughly enjoy the score. It was a shame this was their only show on Broadway.

My college (Mizzou) did this my junior year, and I had the delight of playing the Floozies-singing Collin. Such a hot mess of a plot, but such gems in that score. Actually got to sing through a bit of it with Ms. Cook at the stage door of Sondheim on Sondheim!
