Well, I just returned from a production of THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED at Theatre in the Square's Alley Theatre in Marietta, Georgia. I am not a critic and am not going to pretend to be. I was fortunate to see the Broadway production back in December 2006, but really don't want to make comparisons. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening with Douglas Carter Beane's script being the highlight of the show. As far as the nudity is concerned... Yes, there was nudity, but it was staged as to not reveal much to the audience. I think I saw half a penis... Which half, I'm still not sure of. Here are some of the production photos.
"I'm a whirling mass of contradictions." - Douglas Carter Beane, The Little Dog Laughed
Theatre in the Square does great productions. I wish I could see this. It's unfortunate that it closes before I get home from school.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
