Hello -- has anyone here seen THE STRANGERER? Or maybe know much about it?

I was thinking it might be a decent substitute for ADDING MACHINE, since it's closing the weekend before I'll be up

Thanks for any help

SEE BOTH!

I would highly recommend you see ADDING MACHINE before it closes. You can get $25 tickets with TicketMaster code AM2525 (via online, phone or in-person)

And then go see THE STRANGERER at the Barrow Street Theatre afterward (since it runs a few more weeks, right?)

Sadly, I will miss ADDING MACHINE

I had a ticket for 7/27, the next time I can make it up to NYC, and then they announced a closing date of 7/20

So, no ADDING MACHINE for me. I'm very upset about it, cuz I had read tons of raves on these boards, and was so excited about seeing it

Do you know anything about THE STRANGERER?

Thanks for replying!

THE STRANGERER collides several of author Albert Camus' works with the first Bush/Kerry presidential debate in 2004. The formalities of the debate are overturned as Bush and Kerry struggle with the question not of if or why an innocent man should be killed (the man in question being moderator Jim Lehrer), but rather what is the proper manner in which to go about killing him. A fascinating and hilarious hybrid, THE STRANGERER is part political satire, part classical drama, and a murder mystery with the murderers in plan view.
