I love the scores of John Kander & Fred Ebb and this time I decided to review two of their musicals, both starring legendary actresses. THE VISIT was their last show to opened on Broadway and it has a haunting score. WOMAN OF THE YEAR, that has just been re-released, has a terrific musical comedy score and I always loved it.

I am always happy when Woman of the Year gets brought up, because it has a very nice score and solid book. I would actually argue that maybe it should have won Musical over 42nd Street....but I obviously I can't fully judge since I wasn't alive to judge either production.

It is certainly a show that is often forgotten about today despite its multiple Tony wins.
