Delaney Williams and Naomi Jacobson in Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge
Interviewed by Joel Markowitz
Eddie Carbone is not an easy guy to live with but in this interview we find that the actor who plays him, Delaney Williams, best known as St. Jay Landsman in The Wire, is a gentle guy with an off-beat sense of humor. Naomi Jacobson, who plays Beatrice, Eddie’s ever-suffering wife in Arena Stage’s powerful production of A View from the Bridge, kibitzes with her co-star about their characters, their onstage relationship, and the people who influenced the way they play Eddie and Beatrice.
A fascinating actor’s view of the Arthur Miller drama AND VERY FUNNY!
“My dream role,” Naomi Jacobson
”A chance for a character [actor] to play a great tragic hero.” Delaney Williams.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."
