Hey, guys! I was just asked to costume a production of "The Man Who Came to Dinner" for a local theatre and said yes before realizing that I only have seven days to get things together and I'm not too terribly fammiliar with the material. Any help (ideas, pictures, plots, etc.) would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Love,
Joshie

My recommendation is to read the script

BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

I always wanted to dress Harriet as a Martha Graham type- get away from the demented Emily Dickenson she seems forever clad as. Forties business suits for most of the men, Smoking Jacket(s) for Whiteside, White uniform for Miss Prisim(sp?) The housewives seemed always to be in florals w conservetive hats. Beverly is dificult cos he MUST look like a toff (even if he isn't one) Banjo wrinked but good quality type clothes. Lorraine is also difficult cos she needs @ least 3 VERY stylish outfits. Maggie a lot easier Roz Russell in His Girl Friday. Hope that helps.
