William Shakespeare’s bloodiest tale of politics, revenge, love, and family take shape at Common Ground Theatre. Bare Theatre Company presents Titus Andronicus July 27 - 31, Wednesday through Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Carmen-maria Mandley will direct this gripping tragedy that embodies a struggle for power, a thirst for revenge, and the duty of family.
Bare Theatre Company is a Raleigh based company that made its debut in 2001 with a staged reading of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus in March and a full production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing in June. The mission of Bare Theatre is to form a group of artists dedicated to simple, eclectic, non-traditional and spontaneous theatre and to give audiences a clear, articulate and passionate experience of theatre with little more than a room, audience, actors, and text. In this vein, Titus Andronicus will be shaped by the voices and extreme physicality of twenty young people ranging in age from eleven to twenty-two and will be first production of Rogue Company, the young company division of Bare Theatre Company.

now I like Shakespeare, love him, but by god Titus Andronicus just doesn't do it for me!

That said, a good production can make any show fly! All the best!

yea, it's a pretty over-the-top play that's easy to be really crappy. . .but this production is going to be. . .the jam.
