Got a few questions.. I know i could probably find answers if i searched, but i'd greatly appreciate anyone who has a fast answer..

What time does the TKTS booth open up in Times Square? (I've tried to search the TKTS website but dont know which location i'm supposed to choose)

Also, what has the luck been like with TBFO at the TKTS booth? Are they handing out good tickets?

I'd be going on a thursday if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the answers!

I would be VERY surprised if BOY FROM OZ was being discounted right now - they're bringing in extra chairs for performances to accomodate SRO - so discounts seem unnecessary. Updated On: 7/21/04 at 01:33 PM

BFO just broke their house record again last week, reaching over $1 million in ticket sales for the first time. They've been playing to near-capacity houses since the Tonys. Somehow I doubt that show will be on TKTS.

Realizing I have to go full price now, how are rear mezzanine seats in the Imperial Theatre?

Is WICKED or AVENUE Q ever on the board. If so how often. I would like to see either one and I am only there once a year with school for 3 days. So what are my chances

q and wicked wont be on the board for a while. but q has a lottery and wicked does rush but ppl get there really early so it's either chance the lottery (and not have to wait hours) or try the rush

I don't know if this is still the case but last summer when my roommate and I were in NYC, we found that the TKTS booth close to water street was much less of a hassle as far as crowds, ect than the one in Times Square... Also, just in case you don't already know, I am pretty sure it is cash only! Good luck!!!

The Boy from Oz has not been at TKTS for a while, and Wicked and Avenue Q were almost never there. (I think Wicked showed up one day because they added a show at the beginning of previews, or something like that. People didn't know about it.)

I think all seats at the Imperial are supposed to be pretty good, including rear mezzanine (no obstructed views, and the mezzanine isn't set too far back).

Avenue Q is at a small theater (the Golden), so rear mezz is also not bad. We tried the lottery, didn't make it, but managed to get rear mezz seats.

The Gershwin is big, so you have to be more careful for Wicked. There are some reduced price obstructed view seats, but I don't know what they are like.

I will bet you anything that Avenue Q and Wicked WILL NOT be on tkts. It is practically a fact that it wont be on tkts for awhile.

I'm in NYC now on vacation, and tried to get a single ticket to AveQ for any performance between Wed and Sunday. There was not a single ticket available anywhere in the house -- except for the $250 premium seats.

There are many other fine shows there. Enjoy

Rear mezz seats aren't obstructed, it's just that everything on stage seems so...small! (But I'm speaking as a snob because those are the farthest seats I've ever had for a show.) It's still definitely worth getting in order to see Hugh's performance though. Just bring some binoculars!
