I was watchig cash cab too! I was also watching The Simpsons, it was one of the Halloween episodes where Bart raises all the dead instead of Lisa's first cat. While he's making the incantation he has the album cover of Thriller over his head.
I laughed.
Sorry, I mean, my thoughts go out to all the family and friends of these people (Carradine, McMahon, Fawcett and Jackson). But although my first reaction to a famous death is shock, my second is wondering how I can fit their death into a joke at Rocky Horror that weekend.

MJ was a co-writer of the stage musical SISTERELLA and starred in the film version of THE WIZ. I think that's enough to qualify him for the Broadway board, no?

He has not looked healthy nor acted normal for years, so I cannot say it comes as a big surprise to me.

Today is clearly a big blow to the entertainment industry. Seriously though, I was wondering if people will still use MJ in humor. I would imagine it would be in bad taste now.
Reality is hitting very hard these past few years. Economy, Health wise, the political mess, violence, war.......

If you happen to be in London on July 13th, come to The O2 and join the rest of his fans in a memorial on the night he was suppose to show the world he still had it. We will show him that he never lost it.

Could his story really have ended any other way?
Couple of thoughts popped into my head on hearing of this :
Can his childrens mother(s) make a case for custody and a cut of the estate ( if there IS anything but debts)?
Can Paul Macartney finally get control again of the Beatles catalogue?
Now that MJ has joined Elvis how many co sightings will there be?

sabrelady, according to what I saw on MSNBC, some experts think it is unlikely that a judge would grant the mother of Michael's first two children custody because she gave up parental rights twice for money. As for the remaining Beatles catalog (Sony has half) MJ reportedly left it to Paul McCartney in his will or was making arrangements to return it to try and salvage their former friendship.
Wow, I loved Michael when I was younger and still love his music. I felt sorry for him in many ways; he was a tragic figure. But at least his music and videos will live on. Put on one of his records at a party and people still go crazy.
