I know, ANOTHER Tony thread.
I am getting excited each time I see a commerical on CBS for the Tonys. However, one commerical in particular got me thinking. It said something along the lines of "Film or Theatre stars, who will take home the Tonys?"
It seems the marketing team are trying to make this year film vs. stage actors. Do you think the voters thought this too and vote AGAINST the film stars? Or that this is in anyway related to how some of the voting went (not that the producers of CBS would know ahead of time)? Or is this just CBS's way of drawing more people in? -- Anyone else see this commerical?
Also, when they are showing clips of shows they seem to be focusing in on certain people. When they show SPAMALOT it is always Sara Ramirez singing COME WITH ME rather than any of the three film stars, CURRY, PIERCE, or AZARIA. Is this because CBS producers (or whoever is incharge of selecting clips) think she will win?
Just wondering what others thoughts were on the subject.
