They will go on tour, as well. Good for them!
Really? A tour? Good for them. I'm glad people are starting to pay attention to serious drama again!
I'm so thrilled that for ONCE, a straight play has gotten the attention and praise it deserves. It is really sad to see such wonderful plays such as "Gem of the Ocean" or even the so-so revival of "night, Mother" close so soon and have such small audiences...Go Twelve Angry Men! This production is INCREDIBLE -- I encourage everyone to take advantage of this extension and GO SEE IT!
Think it has a chance to win Best Revival? There are SO many!
I think its defintely a major contender for Best Revival, although it really all depends on the responses to Julius Caesar, Steel Magnolias, Menagerie, Streetcar, Virginia Woolf, and On Golden Pond that are happening (yikes!). The initial feedback for Menagerie hasnt been all too positive and no matter how good or bad a show like "On Golden Pond" is -its chances of winning Best Revival are slim. 12 Angry Men has had SOLID critical and audience response and has been a major force throughout the ENTIRE season. I wouldnt be too surprised if its rewarded.

This is bad news for my poor friends are trying to put on a student produced production of 12 Angry Men because Roundabout is withholding the rights. They thought it would be fine because 12 Angry Men was supposed to close a long time ago, but it keeps extending. Now school will essentially be out by the time it closes.
