For all of you who were unable to get tickets to the reading....
Get ready to laugh and cry but, hold onto your hankies this is going to be a smash...........
The cast, chorus, orchestra, etc were devine...........
The production was in overdrive yesterday and the audience response was one of awe.
Jill Santoriello, Ron Sharpe, Barbra Russell, Guy Stroman, Wendy Bobbitt Cavett and all that have put their heart, soul and life into this musical deserve a standing ovation, which they got. I wish more were able to see this produciton, but be sure, when it hits the Broadway Theater, this will be the next big epic following in the footsteps of what has come before.

Posted: 8/20/04 at 3:46pmHi Burdie! Thanks for joining this board just to tell us how great this show is. What are some of your other favorite shows? Tell us something about yourself before you start to shill. It might give you a bit more credibility here. By the way, what do YOU do on the show? How much do they pay you. Will this have an Equity or Non-equity tour. And who do YOU think is cuter, Woo or Ree?

A TOTC thread that was not started by Gunn?
This is a sign.
The frenzy is starting.

Posted: 8/20/04 at 5:28pmfor rehearsing only 20 hours (9 hours dedicated to tech and the runthroughs for the public) I thought everyone did a FANTASTIC job....such hard music. The show needs to be cut by about 30 minutes and a bunch of the character arcs need fine-tuning and clarification but good job to all

Hey! I resent that ~FF~!
If anyone else has a review of the reading please either post it here or pm me. I would love to hear how it went. I was busy swinging around 35 feet in the air on a high ropes course thursday afternoon (It seems a heck of a lot higher when you are up there. They call that leadership training?
) and I was busy with fire safety training this afternoon. Then there is the small matter of me being in Indiana...
Is posting a review of a reading as taboo as posting a review of a preview? I just would like to know how everything went and what people thought of it. As much detail as possible would be appreciated!

Burdie it does help if you talk about other things other than T2C on the board. I speak from experience.
It's great if you are just a proud parent but this board has had bad experiences with shills. If you offered a more detailed review, and pointed out places where you think it could have used tweaking etc, you would run into less trouble. Well then you run into the dislike of posting reviews of anything that is previews or just a reading. (The ettiquette of this forum is quite a conundrum at first.) I made a venture over to All That Chat and being just a reading they didn't want to say much but generally I have heard mostly positive things about the show with a few things people think need tweaked. If you want people to take you seriously you should also se what else this board has to offer in conversation on Broadway shows, and the Off-Topic board can be quite fun too. Have a nice day.
