Talk Of "110" Extending.....

Saw the matinee today (SO in love with this show!)

People working the box office were saying that way ticket sales were currently going since the opening (and reviews), they are hearing that the show will be extending until Labor Day (at least). They said they would be shocked if the show did not extend.

Was packed today !! Audra sounded amazing--- I Still think Ebersole wins the Tony, but its a close call !

Also-About 110-I thought Audra had something lined up after July so she couldn't stay. (Maybe she cancelled, don't know. But, I thought she had concerts or another project.)

Just curious-- have you seen "110" yet? I agree that CE gives an absolutely amazing performance, but Audra is amazing in "110", and I think the fact that its a more recent show will be in her favor.

As far as Audra having something lined up--- what I had heard is that she had concert dates that were not set in stone for sometime shortly after the "110" run, but that would most likely change if "110" extended.

McDonald has a few scattered concert dates that could be easily re-scheduled as they haven't been announced yet.

The only other project I know of was the "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" revival she'd been attatched to for the fall but, as was highly publicized a few weeks ago, she is no longer involved with that project.

The odds of an extention are quite good.

In regards to Audra vs Christine-- I find McDonald's performance to be every bit as good as Ebersole's. She is working wonders with material that is far less juicy than what Ebersole has and crafts a skillfully mastered performance in a role that doesn't necessarily lend for one.

I would love to see them tie for the Tony but still see Ebersole deservedly getting it (though, in any other season, McDonald would have it in the bag.)

I agree, guys--- If not for Ebersole, this is number five for McDonald - She totally carries the show !

Can definitely see a tie ! While there are good performances in
"110" (Steggert is very good), Audra's performance is in the stratosphere compared to the rest of the cast.

Either way, one of these amazingly talented women win, and I will be a happy camper !

I'd be thrilled if this extended. I'd get to experience the glory again this summer. She is breathtaking beyond words and beyond any other actress this season.

I'm putting aside money from next paycheck for in case they do. :) That would be one hell of a birthday night for me!! :)

the likelihood of a tie is almost zero, not that I don't think both ladies are equally brilliant, but there are hundreds of Tony voters, and the likelihood that the ballots come in exactly evenly are, shall we say, slim.
