Posted: 6/3/07 at 3:23amI was wondering, this is the first time Talk Radio has ever been on broadway. Yet, Why is it getting billed as a revival?

winston - The reason why TALK RAD!O is being considered for "Best Revival of a Play" this year is: Though it IS its first Broadway bow, in 1986, it debuted Off-Broadway (with its playwright, Eric Bogosian in the lead). Therefore, it is looked upon as a 'revival' and NOT an original piece, being viewed for the first time. In reality, the show's 20 years old, it's just being seen for the first time on a Broadway stage, and ever-so-deservingly, in my opinion.
